FORMATTING
while i prefer longer threads , most of mine usually start out as one liners . i use double space and small font with 60x50 static icons . i’m not too picky about how you format ! i just prefer my partners use gif icons / static icons as the larger gifs tend to mess up themes . i also do not like titles being used for threads since i can’t delete them and they can be an eyesore !
IMPORTANT
the character shay bradley has been my own creation for the past ten to fifteen years . while i allow some shifting in her background in order to fit better with other universes, the entirety of her storyline is my own and should not be copied. she is very dear to me and i am very protective of her , please respect this .

BIOGRAPHY
what i create is chaos !
as a child raised in salem massachusetts , shay was raised around magic. with lineage like hers, it was expected she be introduced to and have an understanding of magic from as early as five years old. however, shay was brought into the world a little differently. children of the bradley line, known for their own inner war between powers, was raised under strict parental guidance and care. she was watched and studied by her parents until she came into her powers at five years old. children of her lineage, as powerful as they were, did not always ‘function’ properly as witches, and sometimes paid the full price with their sanity and lack of control making them dangerous to their world-and the rest. these children were usually bound of their powers.
when shay came into her powers at the young age, her parents already knew what they were going to have to do. their baby daughter, who enjoyed frollicking in the sunflowers and following her ballet lessons ,was a danger. her mind was already beginning to fade away, and with it, her power only grew stronger. her parents’ intentions on binding their daughter however, failed miserably. frightened by the five year old girl’s abilities after she killed her twin sister during a training exercise, the bradley family was told to destroy the girl by the coven leader, a man of harsh intentions. she was too dangerous to be allowed to live. considering this (but not for very long) they decided not to go through with it – opting to raise the girl and try and control her powers by means of isolation and strict training regime and while some may believe that to be a noble decision , it should be known that the bradley family was never known for their noble intentions . their true endgame for their daughter being to use her power in order to take full control over the coven and eventually place themselves at the top of the witch power food chain
from that point on, shay’s days became nothing more than homeschooling, studying her power’s history, and ballet classes along with the cello each night however her father would force her through rigorous and painful tests of magic and willingfulness. these tests would turn her magic against them and force them to protect themselves and each one was more painful than the last. these tests strengthened shay’s resolve over time, however emotionally turning her into a confused mess. the girl was cheerful, though due to her lack of socialization, hardly understood regular human emotions correctly and at times would come off as happy during sad times, or angry when she should be excited.
the behavior, the training, and the borderline magical abuse went on until shay was eleven years old. then her entire world changed and her understanding of why she needed to use her powers began to form.
ninety days, five hours and thirty minutes- that was how long shay bradley spent captured by a group of vampires. with them, she was tortured, fed on, raped repeatedly and nearly brought to death - just for fun - while she was only twelve years old. after murdering her mother, father , older sisters and older brother in purely driven rage, a group of vampires forced shay to watch as they tore her family apart limb by limb, finding a somewhat fatal attraction to the eleven year old, the vampires took her with them. for three months, every day shay was drained of her blood nearly to the point of death, healed sometimes, then tortured and unable to protect herself as the vampires too had witch friends that conjured a spell to bind shay’s powers just enough to make her relatively harmless to the vampires, but with her strength it would only last long enough for her to get cheeky with one of her captors and pay the price.
new vampires passing through town would use her to learn control, or for other more ‘physical’ pleasures after a long travel. on her, they would take out their frustrations - a witch, with bound powers to be used to their leisure whether it be sex, blood or other masochistic means. it wasn’t until one night, a man passing through had made a stop into the house, with a sickening pride her captors led him downstairs to where they kept shay chained to the floor like an animal, scarred from the times they wouldn’t heal her and practically naked-covered in her own blood. this stranger finding her treatment entirely barbaric, killed the vampires-taking her away to safety. using the help of another witch to get her to forget everything that had happened to her (and making her believe that her family died in a car accident) he left her in new orleans after some time, hoping that the witches there would be able to help her in ways he couldn’t.
shay was twenty one when she began to remember what had happened to her (her magic fighting against the memory spell the entire time) and twenty one when she began to grow angry, her magic turning against the witches, her power at times too much for her to control. she had no choice but to leave the coven that had taken her in, as their ideals went separate ways. shay’s forte was only ever the darkest of magic and while the coven at one time thought they could channel her for good, she turned on them all using her powers to create hostility among the town.

MAIN VERSE ; DEFAULT
follows shay's main biography , she lives alone as the local neighborhood crazy lady with her cat , a familiar and avoids all supernatural as best she can knowing very well that vampires specifically can find themselves addicted to her blood because of it's purity , she's still a danger to herself and others and rumors of her presence has swept through the town to all of it's supernatural inhabitants , but the news of her family history still remains a mystery .
THE VAMPIRE DIARIES
follows most of the lore from the tvd verse , shay finds herself in either mystic falls or new orleans and thrives off of the power that rests beneath the surface . to some , she may be a useful and helping hand to their troubles , but more than likely , she's a far more bigger threat than they are willing to admit , even to the original vampires --- whom she doesn't exactly blame for what has happened to her , but she intends to keep a close watch on them , not exactly maintaining a safe distance either .
FROM DUSK TILL DAWN
her father had been born possessed by a xibalban royal figure , shay bradley was born with part xibalban blood due to their questionable lineage . on the hunt for any of that kind and having been tracked to the bradley home , the culebra lords destroyed the bradley family and took the young , curious eight year old into their midst , chaining her up and USING HER for feeding purposes and other torture , not quite realizing that she was part xibalban and able to summon the magic familiar to the other race . it's not until after the fall of the lords that shay is freed , and she is found confused , listening to the arguing voices inside of her head and to start --- a strange ability to create illusions based on whatever it is she desires and to drain the souls of humans if she so tries .
THE WITCHER
a failed sorceress prospect , shay fled the confines of the institute with powers at hand , great power after having stolen the strengths of the court and now flees the witchers that hunt her down as the power inside of her drives her mad . she is known as THE DESTROYER as the flames left in her wake are attuned directly to her magical abilities and she is known to attack randomly , forever fighting the psychosis that grips her mind --- which had been the leading cause to her being considered a failed prospect
LEIGH BARDUGO'S GRISHAVERSE
a summoner of great power , shay had spent her time at the little palace learning how to control all aspects of magic but the reason as to why she is able to do such a thing with such ability is unknown to those that teach her , until they get a chance to look inside her head , they leave her restrained in the confines of the palace , never allowed to leave it's grounds in hopes of protecting the other grisha ---- but once the little palace falls alongside the darkling , thieves find her , abandoned by the grisha and introduce her to the magical drug they like to call parem , an addictive substance that enhances the abilities of grisha to immense powers , sometimes changing them . what they did not realize , was the cost of this drug into shay's system would be catastrophic as it drove her even more mad and made her powers well beyond anyone's control .
MARVEL / INHUMAN
shay bradley was only five years old when she came into her powers , and nobody knows how this was possible . however at such a young age being able to mimic the abilities of those around her , absorbing a piece of them would eventually drive her mad making her an out of control being that has zero ability to rein in her powers . in this verse shay is normally a villain or antihero as she spends most of her time battling the voices in her head that make her crave mimicking more powers . she's been given the name MIRROR by dark organizations but shield often references her as THE DESTROYER --- and not to be confused with the destroyer of worlds
MOTHERLAND FORT SALEM V.1
known to be the last of child baring age in her bloodline , the bradley witches are known for their strength and endurance --- capable of manipulating magic to nearly unseen expanses . having lost both of her parents in the war , followed by each of her siblings along the way , shay bradley was adopted into a family that seemed kind and loving at first glance , only for her to realize as she got older that they were actually a part of the spree , an organization hell bent on ridding the witches from their deal made with the government by committing heinous acts . still , turning her back on this family , shay followed the bradley lineage and answered the call and eventually became a very talented necro . however , these talents are a rarity in the bradley line and because of their power , her mind often gets stuck onto the dead that she wishes to speak to and they are known to lurk in the shadows for her making her seem mad , or otherwise eccentric . shay can be seen talking to herself or nothing at all , spouting little poems that she overhears from the voices but she is still a valuable member of her unit .
HELL DEMON
this verse is just for fun , but shay is a demon from hell having taken control the body of a young girl that had gone mad . because of this , the demon is trapped inside of her but the body itself now has immense abilities and often fights for control as she grows not only older , but stronger . she has an immense desire to go back to hell and is seeking out a means to return . this verse follows a lot of supernatural lore but is open to multiple fandoms / lores as well
